Hello my name is Lindsay Dentel
I am your Foundation Board President. We joined the WOM community in 2017 after a tip from a friend to enter the lottery and now have 3 daughters at WOM in Sycamore, Cypress, and Hickory. I lead the Middle School Cross Country team and help with our younger Run Clubs. I love building community through sports and care a lot about kids having strong and healthy relationships with each other and the adults in their lives. I have experience working with youth through Young Life, serving at local church, and as a licensed foster care family. I am a NC native with a BS in Dental Hygiene from UNC-CH and I have been taking care of smiles here for over 20 years.
Hello my name is Stephanie Bailey
I am the Vice President of the Foundation Board and the Chair of the Engagement Committee.
My son Charlie is a Kindergartner in the Redbud class and this is our second year at Willow Oak Montessori! I also have a daughter, Grace, who attends Pollard Middle School. You might see us walking through the woods to school with our dog, Lucy (another golden retriever, who looks a lot like our special WOM visitor, Lucie the therapy dog) or riding the golf cart around to Briar Chapel. We love being a part of the WOM community, we have amazing teachers and have met some of the nicest families.
I have both my undergrad and graduate degrees in education from East Carolina University, Go Pirates! I have worked in higher education for over 17 years and currently work for the University of North Carolina System.
Hello my name is Ginny Taylor-Troutman
I am your Foundation Board Secretary. We’ve been a part of WOM since 2020 and all three of our children have had the opportunity to grow and learn in this special community that has become so important to us. I currently have one child in Maple and one in Loblolly. I am a lover of the outdoors, especially running and camping, and I’m always up for an adventure. I’m a Tar heel, born and bred, and received my undergraduate degree from UNC. I have a Masters in Divinity from Union Presbyterian Seminary and I’m ordained clergy in the Presbyterian Church (USA). I have served as an interfaith hospital chaplain, a campus minister, and I’m currently a pastor at Chapel in the Pines Presbyterian Church.
Hello my name is Katie Patsakham
I am your Foundation Board Treasurer. I currently have two children attending WOM in the Redbud and Sassafras classrooms. One of my favorite things about Willow Oak is the amount of time that my children spend in their outdoor learning environments. They are given many unique opportunities to learn by doing, including caring for a bearded dragon and using an electric drill to build a bridge. I enjoy volunteering as a room parent at WOM and helping to provide leadership for small group ministry at Christ Community Church in Chapel Hill. I am an avid reader and would much rather write an essay than cook a meal. I have an MPH from the UNC School of Public Health and have worked as a research associate and program manager at the UNC Department of Family Medicine.

Hello, my name is Sarah Plummer Taylor.
I am a member of the Engagement Committee.
We’ve been a part of WOM since 2021, now with daughters in Dogwood and Maple. We appreciate their teachers and classmates immensely, and love being a part of what feels like our neighborhood school to us! You can find us on our bikes, hiking the trails, or running amok at the pool and parks. I played soccer at the University of Virginia and then on the US Women’s Military Olympic team during a portion of my service in the United States Marine Corps where I was a pilot and an intelligence officer. I have a Masters in Social Work from the University of Denver. I’m an author, speaker, and former professor and entrepreneur who now works at DPR Construction as an Executive Leadership Coach. My passion is teaching folks how to improve stress - not remove it - in order to build real resilience!
Hello my name is Jennifer Boysen.
I am the chair of the Fundraising Committee. I have worked in education for over 18 years with the majority of my career spent in fundraising. I am passionate about helping schools get the financial resources they need so that every student can thrive. Prior to my consulting work, I worked in major gift fundraising for UNC's Kenan-Flagler Business School, annual giving for The University of Pennsylvania's Wharton Business School, and served as the Chief Development Officer for Northern Seminary. I have served on several boards because of my sheer love of fundraising for initiatives that align with my personal convictions. I have a bachelor's degree in Visual Arts Education from Huntington University. I have completed graduate level work toward a Masters of Arts in Women and Theology and I am currently enrolled in the Philanthropic Studies Graduate Certificate program at the Lilly School of Philanthropy, Indiana University.
